Mimi Unplugged Photographic Exhibition - Launch Night

SilktonesI was thrilled to be asked to do a performance set for Mimi Tannaka's Launch Night for Unplugged Photographic Exhibition. Mimi has become a familiar face in and around music performances where she wanders with her camera ready to capture the magic of the moment in each performance.

On the evening Chris Stannard was the MC. Chris is the Curator of Tanks Art Centre. Ray Elias, organizer of Tanks Unplugged was a speaker on the night highlighting the work that Mimi has done especially with Tanks Unplugged. Silktones (Shirl & Jim) along with Coconut Kiss (Nikki Doll & Maurice) provided light entertainment for the night.
From hundreds of on-stage performances Mimi selected her best works with the assistance of Cairns' best known photo-journalist, Brian Cassey.

People attended to view the collection of works Mimi put up for her exhibition. Nibbles and a bar were available while people lingered around at this social event.
